Arachnia

 Arachnia (Rifftrax, 2003 color)  I am 8mins in. Buncha idiots in small plane see a meteor and crash. This is Edgewood Studios, so Sharknado vibe—the movie knows it is stupid. It works sometimes (Oblivion 1&2) but it also fails when the movie knows it is doing something stupid but Rifftrax riffs it like they’re clever for pointing it out. It all depends on how the actors play it. 48 minutes in now. It’s fine. The plot is the basic trapped in a cabin in the woods while X terrorizes everyone. X = spiders dislodged from underground by a meteor. Like MST3K's Lords of the Deep, could have been made in the 50s in black and white. It’s more or less generic. Too much Nick Nolte impression. But fine otherwise. All the giant spiders are attacking and the idiot people are blowing everything up and setting on fire. It’s over. It wasn’t a bad way to spend an hour and 23 minutes. It’s in the second tier, not real high
