[with short Here Comes the Circus b&w 40s. This is just damned funny. One of the best parts is when Joel just gives up and into laughter when they start “doing it clown style”! I just put this on as background today; I’m in a terrible mood, but this managed to break through and make me laugh. I frequently skip the short, but this is a great one.]
The Day The Earth Froze (color, 1959 MST422) This is the single funniest episode of the show. This is top tier, top spot. #1. “This is what it would have been like if Perot woulda won”. So many great lines. Bullwinkle on Fire was great. Joel mentions The Christmas That Almost Wasn’t. At 38:07 a guy has built a living horse to plow a field of snakes. “Hey you wrecked our boat you freaked out maniac!” Somebody put me out I seem to be on fire! Bullwinkle. Lemonkinnan? Obviously top tier. Personal favorite. I can't even hear the word Sampo without laughing. I absolutely love this one.
