The Screaming Skull (1958 b&w mst912.) Movie is a blatant ripoff of Rebecca, the book and Alfred Hitchcock’s first US film. This isn’t as good. I skipped the Gumbi short. The audio isn’t great. Free coffin if you die of fright. There’s a creepy gardener at house who loved the first wife. The old Carol Burnett Show did a better version of Rebecca, but this is similar. Creepy guy talks to painting of first wife. His name is Mickey. There’s a reverend and his annoying wife. This is a drab, grim movie. Mickey is a real weirdo. Screaming peacocks wandering around. It’s certainly a creepy movie. Not good, but creepy. This movie has a lot of scenes of nothing happening. Very boring movie. It’s still top tier but not high up. Jenny, the new wife, has dead parents. She was the unhappy mom in The Space Children. She’s kinda crazy. Spent a year in nuthouse. This couple sucks. She’s just super depressed and he’s crazy and thinks cheering her up is burning painting. Oops. Just realized she’s rich, was mentioned, and he’s trying to push her over edge for the money! Damn. Honestly didn’t see the twist coming. Sumbitch. Pretty funny ep. middle of the top tier.
